Jean Dujardin, Meryl Streep and Christopher Plummer are the big winners Oscar Winners at the 84th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night, Feb. 26, 2012, in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles.

Grabbing the popular Best Actor award was “Jean Dujardin (The Artist)”, which beat other four acclaimed nominees that includes Demián Bichir (A Better Life), George Clooney (The Descendants), Gary Oldman (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Brad Pitt (Moneyball) in the top category.

Jean Dujardin (39-year-old) French actor marked the first Frenchman to win an acting Oscar. I love your country, Dujardin admits as he accepted his award. Thank you my wonderful partner Berenice Bejo, thank you the wonderful cast and crew, he added. My wife, I love you. Kisses.

Dujardin has won numerous awards for the leading part that includes a Screen Actors Guild Award, a BAFTA Film Award and a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy Or Musical in January for his character in “The Artist.”

Meryl Streep Oscars 2012

Meryl Streep took home best actress for ‘The Iron Lady’ at the 84th Academy Awards. It was the third Oscar for Streep and her first in three decades, highlighting her status as the leading actress of her generation.

The other top four 2012 Oscars best actress nominees went to Glenn Close (Albert Nobbs), Viola Davis (The Help), Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn) and Rooney Mara (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). Oh, come on! Streep said as she was given a standing ovation by the star-studded Hollywood viewers.

Christopher Plummer Oscars 2012

Christopher Plummer has won the Best Supporting Actor award for “Beginners” which bangs other nominees – Max Von Sydow (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close), Kenneth Branagh (My Week with Marilyn), Nick Nolte (Warrior) and Jonah Hill (Moneyball).

The 82-year-old star, who joked he’d been rehearsing his receiving speech since he emerged from his mother’s womb, he thanked Beginners director Michael Mills and co-star Ewan MacGregor, of whom Plummer told that he’d happily share this award with if he had any decency, which he don’t.”
