Kanye West, the boyfriend of Kim Kardashian rules the group of 2012 BET Hip-Hop Award nominations with a total of 17 nods, vying for MVP of the Year, Video Director of the Year and Lyricist of the Year among others.

The “Watch the Throne” project success and forthcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, Kanye West shows his domination in Hip-Hip music. His single “Mercy”, which shows – 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Pusha T, emerges in Best Hip-Hop Video, Reese’s Perfect Combo, Best Club Banger and People’s Champ categories.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Meek and J. Cole are among other stars who get multiple nominations at the annual prize-giving event, which is set to air October 9. Check out the full list of 2012 BET Hip Hop Award nominees:
