Five-time Grammy winner/actress Rihanna and The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons to voice cast In on her first animation film role in ‘Happy Smekday’.
Rihanna is set to make her debut in the upcoming DreamWorks animation project by joining the voice cast ensemble of “Happy Smekday”. According to sources, The Bajan songstress has deal on as one of the lead voices of the movie, and she will be joined by Jim Parsons.
As for the director, “Over the Hedge” helmer Tim Johnson has been tapped to begin the duty. Meanwhile, Matt Ember and Tom J. Astle work together to provide the script. Based on Adam Rex’s highly praised kid’s book “The True Meaning of Smekday”, “Happy Smekday!” follows a friendly alien race, who uses the Earth as a hideout from their worldly enemy.
As a lowly unfamiliar accidentally notifies the enemies of his whereabouts, he is forced to go on the run with a teenage girl. They get on a journey across a post-apocalyptic America to learn – what it means to be human.
Rihanna was last appears starring in “Battleship” opposite Taylor Kitsch and Liam Neeson. She will seems as herself in Katy Perry’s show “Katy Perry: Part of Me” and Seth Rogen’s comedy “The End of the World”. The movie ‘Happy Smekday’ to be release in the United States in 2014.
