Kate Middleton Strikes On 2012 Marie Claire Cover – Is That Really?

Is that really Kate Middleton on the cover of the August 2012 Marie Claire, or just a hyper-real illustration? Um, they didn’t. That is not the Duchess of Cambridge posing, but instead, the fantastic work of idle hands in a jungle-themed number by a Marie Claire South Africa local designer.

In a sneak peek to its new 2012 August issue, it’s unveiled that the pictures featured on the publication’s front page is a result of Photoshop. The magazine explains in a statement – We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern-day princess, which is why we selected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue.

The Marie Claire cover is in fact a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a follower art tribute to fashion’s new royal icon. In the pic – Kate wears a Clive Rundle outfit with tattoo motif on its sleeve. Not only does the wife of Prince William seem on the front page, but she’s also looked in the spread inside the magazine.

Marie Claire calls the new issue that goes on sale opening July 16, 2012 a fan art honor. Its editor Aspasia Karras tells – Fashion’s new royal icon wears South Africa’s best local designers, the magazine tells on its cover before adding an additional hint on its lower part, Of course she doesn’t..but she should.
