Stand Up to Cancer Telethon 2012: An A-list cast of Hollywood celebrities is joining a telethon to raise money and awareness to fight cancer set for September 7th and broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the organization unveiled on Wednesday.
Stand Up to Cancer will run another telethon this September, which was formerly launched in the US four years ago by the late Laura Ziskin, will be hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Dr Christian Jessen.

“Stand Up to Cancer” event will be supported by Taylor Swift, Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow, are helping to organise a charity telethon for Channel 4 in aid of cancer research. Set to gig are Coldplay, Alicia Keys and Tim McGraw along with Swift.
Other participants that included Emma Stone, Chelsea Handler, Marg Helgenberger, Minka Kelly, Alison Sweeney, Jillian Michaels, Rashida Jones, Joe Manganiello, Simon Baker, Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Jessica Biel, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Seth Rogen, Jordana Brewster, Diem Brown, Dana Delany, Masi Oka, Ana Maria Polo and Katie Couric.
Additional stars celebrities and performers will be revealed in the coming weeks. Networks like ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC will contribute one hour of real-time commercial-free primetime for the nationally-televised fund-raising special.
