Last time, Katy Perry and John Mayer spotted out together in LA – Now the latest news came up on the web there are allegedly break up – after a couple months of casual dating. While it appears like Hollywood couples are breaking up left and right, it seems like we’ve got a new couple alert!

According to the sources – John Mayer and Katy Perry are no longer dating. They’ll end up as friends, the source claims. They were openly having fun, but People made it out to be far more than it was. A source tells- Their spokesperson remains quiet on the matter, but rumor hints its John who dumped Katy.

The pair allegedly met at a dinner party on Tuesday (Aug 21), and overlooked each other. When they passed each other they both just kept their heads down. It was like they had this unbelievable hatred for each other and everybody else at the party could feel it, an insider dished.

A few days before, Perry, 27, and Mayer, 34, were spotted leaving a house party together in Los Feliz, and they didn’t hold hand, but stepped a same car. They once also had a dinner party at Chateau Marmont and attended a friend’s birthday party together.

The “Wide Awake” singer Katy Perry was earlier married to Russell Brand in India. After divorcing, she was connected to Florence and the Machine’s guitarist Robert Ackroyd. Meanwhile, John dated a series of Hollywood hotties like Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston.
