Michael Clarke Duncan died, at the age of 54 on Monday September 3. ‘The Green Mile’ star had a heart attack six weeks ago and was being treated in a Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
The hulking role actor, whose several of movies included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death-row inmate John Coffey in “The Green Mile” and characters in such other box office hits as “Armageddon,” ‘‘Planet of the Apes,” “Sin City,” “Daredevil” and “Kung Fu Panda” has passed away.

Duncan suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13 and never fully recovered from his heart attack. Duncan’s fiancée, was with him in the LA hospital room where he was being treated. She left for a short period of time and when she came back, he had passed away.
He worked as a bodyguard for celebrities such as Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J and Notorious B.I.G. before his acting career ended off. He also played basketball and tried out for the Chicago Bears in the 1980s.
