Rihanna to earn £5 million to turn on Christmas lights in London

The ‘We Found Love’ singer Rihanna will help to start off the festive season at Westfield in Stratford near the Olympic park, where she will also perform a mini-concert for her fans.
According to sources Rihanna is very excited and thrilled to turn on Christmas lights in London and she knows it’s a big deal. She said Westfield City have a great year, as the 2012 Olympics Games held in the city and want to fork out to celebrate Christmas lights in London. The final contract is still being under talks and they are prepared to pay up to £5million for her.
The event organizers are expecting around 20,000 people to swamp the park to turn on Christmas lights in London, as she also revealed Rihanna was selected over the Spice Girls, who came out of retirement to carry out at the Olympics closing ceremony. ‘The Spice Girls’ were also talked over, but Rihanna has come out as the artist of pick.
General Manager for marketing at Westfield Myf Ryan insists that Christmas light switch-on at Westfield Stratford City, which it is one of the highlights of the festive calendar.
