‘The Voice’ BBC1’s launch date unveiled the primetime Saturday night talent show’s date for the first season on Saturday, March 24, 2012.

Nevertheless, the BBC still maintain that no official launch date has been set. Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, The Script’s Jessie J, Danny O’Donoghue and Sir Tom Jones serve as the coaches in the reality TV series, which aspects blind auditions and battle stages before reaching live shows.

The winner of The Voice UK will perform a record contract with Universal. Radio 1′s Reggie Yates and Holly Willoughby are hosting the series, which BBC One controller Danny Cohen reportedly spent over £20 million to secure for the broadcaster after a clash with ITV over the rights.

The show became the most-watched televise non-sporting aired in six years in the United States, when its second season premiere was aired directly after the 2012 Super Bowl.

BBC One controller Danny Cohen was reported to have spent approx. £20 million on the rights to the show in an offer to out-do ITV’s ratings winners Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor. All four judges along with the hosts will be attending at Central London launch event tomorrow, February 24.

Lastly, Sir Tom Jones is set to perform the Belsonic Festival in Belfast, on Friday August 24, 2012.
