Jennifer Lopez’s famous ex-husband Marc Anthony has reportedly signed up to be a celebrity mentor on the US ‘X Factor’ show, as he preps to take on the contestants on “The X Factor” kicking off a season 2 on September 12.
So it will be very much interesting to see Jennifer Lopez’ response to her estranged husband Marc Anthony’s decision to come-up as a mentor on rival series The X Factor show and assist Simon Cowell in mentoring his team in the judges’ house round.

According to the sources told E! Online that, Marc and Simon have known each other for a long time, and Marc’s a huge worldwide-selling artist, so when ‘The X Factor’ decided to film in Miami, it was perfect. The source went on telling, Marc really likes the idea of spotting new and young talent and he has strong opinions, so being a guest mentor with Simon and his category is perfect.
Anthony follows the footsteps of Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber, who were reported previous to team up with Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid resp. There’s still no word on who will support Britney Spears.
The 43-year-old Grammy award-winning singer himself is no stranger to a talent TV show. He and his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez worked together on “Q’Viva! The Chosen.” The U.S. version of “The X Factor” will start its new season 2 on Wednesday, September 12 at 8/7c on FOX television.
