‘SYTYCD’ Show: So You Think You Can Dance has crowned its ninth season winners – Eliana Girard and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp, who were revealed as America’s favorite female and male dancer resp. in the season 9 finale, spotting the first time ever ballet dancer(s) won the show.
After two months of dancing on ‘SYTYCD’ stage, two of the contestants came home as winners. Ballet specialists Chehon Wespi-Tschopp and Eliana Girard were named ‘America’s Favorite Dancers’ during the grand finale of the Fox television competition.

Girard put both her hands to her face, when her win in the female dancers’ category against jazz dancer Tiffany Maher was unveiled. “What just happened?” she shouted as her supporters cheered in the spectators.
Cyrus ‘Glitch’ Spencer, a popping/animation expert, who was runner-up in the men’s competition, clutched a tearful Wespi-Tschopp as their result was announced. This season marked the first time that two winners of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, as part of multiple changes to the program’s set-up.
The Tuesday night, Sept. 18 episode was started with a group dance by all Twenty finalists. Carly Rae Jepsen made the night merrier by taking the leg to gig her new song “This Kiss”.
