Donna Summer has sadly dead at aged 63 earlier today (1948-2012) – after losing her battle with lung cancer on May 17, 2012.
According to sources – Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of lots of gifts, the most being her faith, her clan told in a statement. While we feel sad her passing, we are at peace celebrating her unusual life and her sustained legacy.
Words truly cannot utter how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our clan at this sensitive time, Sources added. A multi-award winning artist well-known for her work with producer Giorgio Moroder, Summer was best known for her disco hits ‘Hot Stuff’, ‘Last Dance’, ‘I Feel Love’ and ‘Bad Girls’.
Donna Summer was one of seven children, born in Boston, Massachusetts on New Year’s Eve in 1948. Summer received five Grammy awards, the first in 1979 for ‘Best R&B Vocal Performance (Female)’ for ‘Last Dance’, and the last in year 1998 for ‘Best Dance Recording’ for ‘Carry On’.
The disco megastar had a Top 40 hit in the Billboard Hot 100 every single season from 1976 to 1984. Donna Summer Five of her best hits – videos are as follows.
